Wonderwool Wales 2014- Booth Photos- Part 1 of 2

We saw Alison Murray's Giant Textile Dragon...

...and True Style Lab's shockingly lifelike needle-felted creatures...

                                                      ...angora bunnies...

...and Guto the Whippet's up-cycled dog wear.

There were gorgeous linen threads and boucle yarns from Namolio...

                                            ...adorable sheep (of course!)...

...and luscious merino rovings from Nunoco.

We met lovely Welsh men from the National Wool Museum...

...and 'oohed and aahed' over ceramic bowls made expressly for knitters by Wendy Fowler.

I attended the event with my darling friend, Pearl...

...(shown, here, chatting with fiber artist, Jenny Pepper).

There were oh-so-many booths featuring gorgeous yarn...

...and I absolutely drooled over Mr. Groovi's super sleek and functional felting tables!

(Good thing they come with built-in drains!) ;)

I also was quite 'taken' with Jackie Lunn's lovely booth...

...and with the intricately screen-printed felt of Lindsey Tyson.

As with all good sheep and wool festivals...

...fiber textures and colors were the event highlights!

Next time: more booth (and animal) photos!

Thanks Heather for the lovely photo mention, I loved looking through the event photos on your blog, as when you have a stand you don't get to look around properly and miss so much! It was great to meet you, albeit briefly, hope you had a great time in the UK.

Thanks, Deborah! It WAS hard to focus, wasn't it?!
Kim--YES! It was a great day!!
Jenny--I never considered how much you all must miss each year. I'm happy that I could help in this small way!! :)
Rachel--I do so wish that you had managed to get there. It was a really lovely event!!

Goodness, I am so impressed that you clocked all the names of all the stands that we visited, it was such a whirl. Great photos, also impressed that on your first Sunday back you have already started to use those great knitting needles!
I have used some of that gorgeous blended yarn we bought and unwound the wool and rewound it into colours - well that was a little job done by Mum actually. Wish I had bought one of those pottery wool holders for her now - next time!
